Sundays feature speed chess, “active” chess and in the fall achess course for adults wanting to learn or return to the game. plus $36 ($21 $39 ($25 for juniors) for the RA Chess Club.
CHESS FEDERATION OF CANADA (CFC) MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED TO PLAY RATED GAMES.
Players also pay the CFC’s $3 rating fee for each rated tournament. CFC Membership ($43/year for Ontario residents, $27 for juniors) may be purchased from the CFC (www.chess.ca) or from tournament directors.

Eastern Ontario Open is scheduled for June 10th forMay 30th & 11th 2006!
Full details will be advertised in the next few days. In the interim, here are some enticing details, especially for players from outside Ottawa/Gatineau.
*The tournament will be held in one of the most picturesque locations possible in Ottawa
three all-you-can-eat buffet meals, at student-level pricing
